The Alaskan Republican told the Anchorage Daily News that she would vote for Rep. Mary Peltola, a democrat, over her GOP challenger Gov. Sarah Palin.
“Yeah, I am,” Murkowski said.
Murkowski has served in congress for 21 years, and has frequently been called out by her Republican colleagues for being a RINO. She also voted to convict President Donald Trump in his impeachment trial related to the Jan. 6 protest at the Capitol. After her vote, In March 2021, The Republican Party of Alaska voted to censure Murkowski and asked her to leave the party. Murkowski refused.
Many believe Murkowski is willing to vote for Peltola, in a bid to receive help in her own race from Democrats, pointing to the Senators push for ranked-choice voting something Palin said would “elect Democrats and destroy our country.”
Murkowski has also voted with the Democrats a whopping nine times in the last two years, If reelected, she has promised to continue to help Joe Biden and his agenda.
Murkowski is backed by Sen. Mitch McConnell whose Senate Leadership Fund flooded the Senate race with about $9 million.
