When asked point blank if people making less than $1 million a year would pay higher taxes, Mohammad El-Sayed said
“If I’m trading paying a CEO to make more money or paying government to guarantee me healthcare, I’m picking the latter every time.”

When El-Sayed was pressed again, multiple times on if he planned to tax people who made less than $1 million a year, he refused to answer, danced around the topic and instead emphasized that the ‘trade-off’ would be worth it.
