The same network and other outlets are now engaging in wall-to-wall coverage after algae reappeared, and a duck was found de*d following President Trump’s renovation of the Reflecting pool
The outlets pushing the same narrative, claiming the Trump administration is a national embarrassment.
The media is ignoring the proof of sabotage and have launched a full campaign to discredit the claims.
The Reflecting Pool has required draining and heavy chemical intervention multiple times over the past 15 years because of its design, warm weather, bird waste, and lack of full filtration.
A 2012 CNN package explained how a parasite was in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool – causing problems
A quote from the report saying,
“We have shocked the water with chlorine to try and kill any of the parasites and the bacteria.”
No mention that Obama may be to blame.
The chemical treatments didn’t work, so the pool was drained and cleaned to fully reduce the parasite.
CNN calmly detailed how the entire process would take about a week and mentioned that the parasite can cause “swimmer’s itch” in humans but rarely requires medical treatment.
Tourists at the time described the water as smelling like a wet dog and called the conditions gross.
A separate June 2017 CNN report detailed that about 80 ducklings were found de*d, with 53 in one day, again the media blamed the same parasite from snails in the pool back in 2012.

That event happened months after President Trump took office, however the underlying conditions were traced back to Obama’s renovation.
The coverage treated the deaths of the ducklings and algae as a recurring maintenance headache tied to the $34 million Obama-era overhaul that finished in 2012 and saw algae return within weeks.
No blame put on Obama.
President Donald Trump directed a $14 million renovation focused on installing a new “American flag blue” liner at the bottom of the pool to improve appearance ahead of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations.

The work finished and the pool refilled in early June 2026. Within about a week, green algae bloomed across the surface and sections of the blue liner were damaged.
Trump asserting that radical left lunatics had vandalized the site, pointing to evidence of a 250 – 300 foot knife gash and dumped chemicals. The president also said he had video proof.
However, the media is out in full force blaming Trump, protecting vandals and running their own water testing investigations.
