President Donald Trump has been officially subpoenaed by the House Select committee which is comprised will all democrats and two Republicans, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, who both voted in favor of impeaching Trump.
All members of the committee voted in favor of the subpoena and are demanding Trump’s testimony under oath and records relevant to the protest at the capitol on Jan. 6th.
The panel said they would subpoena Trump on October 14th. The committee is demanding that records are turned in by November 4th and says that Trump would be deposed on or about Nov. 14th.
Trump sent a 14-page letter to the panel at that time, in which he didn’t say if he would agree to testify.
He did, however, unleash a multitude of critiques he and a multitude of others have against what they call a partisan panel that’s conducting a witchhunt.
President Trump is the highest-ranking individual targeted for testimony by the panel.
