#new Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed is now being called a Veteran as newspaper-style fliers were sent out across Michigan making the claim, even though he has never served a day in the US military in his life.

The Michigan Independent published an article written by New York Times alum Alyssa Burr- titled El-Sayed, Veteran, Doctor and former Heath Official is Democrat Senate Pick
Mohamed El-Sayed has no military record and the claim was made by a network funded in part by George Soros
Mohamed El-Sayed also claims he is a physician even though he never completed his residency, never got his license, and never practiced.

Now that backlash has erupted, the publication is claiming it was a typo.
Joe Conason said the intended phrase was “veteran doctor,” meaning an experienced physician, not a military veteran.
When pressed that El-Sayed never got a medical license to practice, Conason replied that El-Sayed is still “a doctor.”
Many are pointing out that a Physician – which is his claim – is not the same thing as doctor.
The Michigan Independent is part of a national “pink slime” operation launched by Democratic operative David Brock.
It mails out material designed to look like independent local newspapers.
Open Society Foundations, tied to Soros, gave the parent American Independent Foundation $500,000 in 2022.
The same network has previously ‘misled’ voters on mailers in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Arizona races.
