As Americans continue to feel the pain at the pump, the Governor of Michigan is working to shut down a major pipeline that moves fossil fuels between Canada and the United States
Gretchen Whitmer wants to shut down the Enbridge Line 5 which moves more than half a million barrels of oil and natural gas liquids each day.
According to a report from the Consumer Energy Alliance, if the pipeline is shutdown – it could be devastating for the price of gas and consumers would have to pay at least $27 billion dollars more in the next five years alone.
