#NEW The State of Michigan under Governor Gretchen Whitmer Refuses to Hand Over 865,000 Ballots from the 2024 Election
Michigan officials are also refusing to turn over hundreds of thousands of related election records from the Detroit area, even though they were given a formal demand from the Department of Justice.
The DOJ gave Michigan 14 days to comply or face a court order.
The standoff is part of a larger resistance by some Democrat states to the Trump administration’s efforts to investigate election fraud, with officials saying they are just trying to protect voters. The dispute could potentially head to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Let’s look at a couple fast facts about Michigan and voting.
In 2020, the Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel & Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson blocked the full release of forensic images and raw data tied to an audit of the 2020 Presidential election
The pair argued that the auditors “Misunderstood routine election processes and ascribed fraud to explainable errors” so the information can’t be released – they are still blocking it’s release
Earlier this year, Michigan State officials were accused o putting dead people back on the voter rolls after they were removed, and sending out ballots to non-existent voters, the claim was made by Republican State Representative Rachelle Smith
And in case you forgot, it was in Michigan that election workers covered windows at the TCF Center so people couldn’t observe the absentee ballot count in the 2020 election.
It happened as Joe Biden made the overnight ‘come-back’ against President Donald Trump in key battleground states
The workers didn’t face any consequences for their actions
