Justice Ketanji Brown Calls Trump ‘Danger To Democracy’ While Praising ‘Activist’ Judges Ruling Against Him
Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson released a statement that appeared to be attacking President Donald Trump – while praising judges that are issuing national injunctions to stop him from carrying out his agenda.
Her statements sparking fierce backlash as many are saying that a Justice should not take such an extreme political stance against the sitting President.
Jackson saying,
“Across the nation. Judges are facing increased threats of not only physical violence, but also professional retaliation just for doing our jobs. And the attacks are not random. They seem designed to intimidate those of us who serve in this critical capacity. The threats and harassment are attacks on our democracy, on our system of government, and they ultimately risk undermining our Constitution and the rule of law.”
“To all of the judges across the country that are standing up to President Trump, I applaud your raw courage, and I urge you to keep going. Keep doing what is right for our country. And I do believe that history will vindicate your service.”
Judges have ruled against Trump’s order to deport illegal migrant gang members via the enemy aliens act, they have ruled against funding cuts, a transgender military ban, a birthright citizenship ban and the requirement of proof os citizenship to vote in federal elections among other issues.
