Man Pulls Gun On TV Crew During Live Report On Chicago’s Skyrocketing Violence

Chicago police are searching for the man who pulled a gun out on a TV news crew in Chicago while the reporter was giving a report on the skyrocketing violence that has plagued the city of Chicago.

It happened in Downtown Chicago on the corner of Clark and Hubbard streets in Chicago’s River North neighborhood when the man walked into the live shot from the left side, holding what appears to be a firearm and pointed it in the direction of the news crew.

The man then skipped down the sidewalk and out of the view of the camera.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the man they are calling a ‘person of interest.’

Chicago is in the midst of a massive crime wave.

The windy city has led the nation in Mass Shootings. In fact, according to recently released data, 811 people were killed and injured in Mass Shootings since September of 2018 through May 24, 2022, the most in the entire United States.  Democrat Lori Lightfoot became the Major of Chicago in May of 2019.

Philadelphia comes in second with 367, then New York City with 251, Baltimore with 220, and Houston rounds out the top five with 214 killed and injured in mass shootings. All cities are run by Democrat Mayors.

Even though Chicago leads the nation in mass shooting deaths and frequently has shootings and killings in the double digits every weekend, Mayor Lightfoot took the opportunity to attack Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

Her remarks instantly politicizing the horrific mass shooting that happened at Robb Elementary school in Uvalde, Texas when an 18-year-old walked into the school, opened fire and killed 19 students and two teachers.

During a news conference on Wednesday the governor was asked about his stance on gun laws. Gov. Abbott pointing out that strict gun laws, like in Chicago and New York, don’t seem to be working,

“I hate to say this, but there are more people shot every weekend in Chicago than there are in schools in Texas. And we need to realize that people who think that, well maybe if we just implement tougher gun laws, its gonna solve it. Chicago and L.A. and New York disprove that thesis. And so, if you’re looking for a real solution, Chicago teaches that what you’re talking about is not a real solution. Our job is to come up with real solutions that we can implement.”
