Mexico’s Most Wanted Cartel Leader K*lled In Military Op – Violence Erupts In Puerto Vallarta

US citizens are being warned to shelter in place as Major cartel violence erupts across Puerto Vallarta.

This after the leader of the Jalisco cartel (CJNG) was killed in a military operation – According to Mexican sources.

After El Mencho was killed, CJNG members retaliated across Jalisco and neighboring states (including Michoacán, Colima, and others).

Vehicles are being set on fire in both the city and tourist spots – men are jumping out of cars – setting other vehicles on fire – and taking off.

Reports of a *narco*-blockade are coming in, where cartel members have closed off the main access road into the city – using  burning vehicles, buses, and trucks to stop any movement and slow-down security forces.

Buildings are being set on fire, including the city’s COSTCO, and a prisoner escape is already being reported at the prison.

In addition men are having gun battles in the streets as the major tourist spot is described as being in total chaos – with a security situation that is “completely out of control.”

Plumes of smoke can be seen over the city from fires,

Reports of men on motorcycles driving around wreaking havoc, and

Panic at the International Airport – flights are being diverted, suspended, or canceled by airlines like Delta, Southwest, United, Air Canada, WestJet, and others because of the violence.

Jalisco authorities activated a “Code Red” emergency protocol, telling residents to shelter in place, stay indoors, and avoid travel.

The Canadian government updated its travel advisory for the area, warning of the sudden violence.

Mexican forces (primarily the army) conducted the high-level military OP in the mountains of Jalisco state, where they killed Rueben Oseguera Cervantes – AKA El Mencho

Cervantes – was a former police officer who led the Jalisco  Cartel to become one of the “most powerful and ruthless criminal organizations” inside Mexico, according to the DEA

During the operation, CJNG members traded fire with the government forces.  Four cartel members were killed.

El Mencho, and two others, died as they were being flown to Mexico city for treatment.

Three Mexican military personnel were also injured and taken to a hospital in Mexico City for treatment.

El Mencho had a $15 million U.S. bounty on his head and was considered one of the world’s most wanted and violent drug lords – leading one of Mexico’s most powerful and aggressive cartels.
