Three migrants and a pair of DMV workers have been indicted for selling driver’s licenses to non-citizens for $200-$1,500
It happened in Kentucky, where the scheme targeted migrants (who can’t speak English) and helped them get fraudulent driver’s licenses
The three migrant men indicted are:
Raul Tellez Ojeda, 32
Lazaro Alejandro Castello Rojas 37 and
Robert Danger Correa, 41
They allegedly recruited migrants, escorted them to appointments, and helped them get around required tests and knowledge requirements – for
A fee.
They did this by working alongside two former DMV employees:
Donnita Wilson, 32 and
Aariel Matthews, 27
They are being charged with fraud, unlawful production of ID documents, money laundering and conspiracy.
The defendants have pleaded not guilty. They are facing up to 20 years in prison for each count.
