#new Pope Leo removed his shoes in a Mosque, prayed before the mihrab in the direction of Mecca, signed the golden book and claimed the mosque is a ‘space proper to God’ saying,
“The mosque is a divine and sacred space, where many people come to pray and to seek the presence of the Most High in their lives.”
Pope Leo XIV visited the Great Mosque of Algiers during the first ever papal trip to the North African country.
However, the Pope’s actions have Christians – who are aware of Bible prophecy – saying that these are the signs that the prophet Daniel warned about in the Book of Daniel – when he described a ‘revived Roman Empire’ in the end times.
That Empire will be a powerful political, Religious and military system that rises in the region that was once ruled by ancient Rome.
Christians who believe this is a sign, are warning that radical Islamists could become the “army” of that revived Empire.
Revelation talks about a powerful religious system dressed in purple and scarlet – colors of the Vatican cardinals and bishops – riding a beast (often seen as the Antichrist’s empire, Islam).
The Book of Revelation says the Antichrist will first use the purple-and-scarlet entity to gain power then turn on what many are saying is the Vatican and destroy it because he “hates” it.
Many are tying this to an Islamic takeover, that uses the Vatican to gain power, then destroys it because Islam hates Christianity.
These views are matters of faith and debate among Christians… But many are now questioning whether the Pope’s actions are reasons to be cautious about Vatican-Islam partnerships and what it could mean.
