Price At The Pump Reaches New Record High Sunday Morning

The price for gas hit a new record high on Sunday morning climbing to a national average of $5.01 per gallon, according to AAA.

The price at the pump hit the $5.00 mark, for the first time ever, on Saturday morning. This is up nearly 20 cents per gallon from last week, more than $1.92 higher than this time last year and up a whopping $3.14 per gallon from when President Donald Trump was in office.

Experts believe that the price per gallon will continue to rise at least through the summer and a new poll out indicated that more than 50% of Americans believe that Joe Biden is causing/allowing the price at the pump to skyrocket intentionally.

Inflation started to rise a couple of months after Biden took office and hasn’t slowed down. Many point to his big spending packages, poor economic policies, open border policies and war on American energy as the reasons why Americans continue to suffer, some having to chose between feeding their children and putting gas in the tank.

Biden vowed to rid the United States of Fossil Fuels on the campaign trail. After taking office he cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline, cancelled oil leases of Federal Lands, cancelled offshore drilling in the Gulf and Alaska and took hundreds of millions of barrels from the Strategic Oil Reserves to send to Europe.

Biden also faced bipartisan backlash for his administration’s  to allow a controversial Russian natural-gas pipeline  – Nord Stream 2 – to be completed saying it came at the expense of Ukraine. Others called Biden out for cancelling an American Pipeline will endorsing one in Russia.
