Democrats are blocking full funding for federal workers, like Secret Service agents, who put their lives on the line every day to protect the President, and American citizens.

Those men and women continue to show up for duty while the Democrats actively work to block their pay, and Senators go on two-week vacations.

Details:

February 14 – Partial shutdown begins as Democrats refuse to fund DHS

March 13 – Many DHS employees missed their first full paycheck. About 90% of the department’s more than 260,000 workers kept working without pay.

April 3 – President Trump ordered DHS employees, including Coast Guard civilians and others, to be paid calling the situation a “Democrat-caused shutdown.”

April 16-26  – The partial shutdown passed the 70-day mark, becoming the longest partial shutdown for any single federal department in U.S. history.

Secret Service Director Sean Curran testified that the agency faces heavy future demands (World Cup, Olympics, 2028 election) and needs more resources
