A Truck driver who killed four people including a woman’s husband and two sons, has been identified as an illegal migrant from Kyrgyzstan
30-year-old Bekzhan Beishekeev was driving a semi-truck when he veered into oncoming traffic and slammed head on into their hired van. (which basically means the family hired a driver because they’re Amish)
The crash happened in Indiana, and allegations are surfacing that the illegal migrant was operating under a scam **trucking company run by foreign nationals.
According to the Indiana State Police, a 2022 Freightliner semi-truck driven by Beish-e-keev failed to stop for traffic that was slowing down ahead of him.
Instead, he swerved across the center line, slamming into a 2011 Chevrolet van carrying an Amish work crew.
The impact killed four passengers and seriously injured two others. The illegal migrant was not hurt.
The victims, all from the small town of Bryant, were identified by the Jay County Coroner’s Office as:
Henry Eicher, 50, a devoted husband and father
Menno Eicher, 25, Henry’s eldest son
Paul Eicher, 19, Henry’s younger son
Simon Girod, 23, a family friend and fellow crew member
Three died at the scene from blunt force trauma, while Girod died at a local hospital.
The van’s driver, 55-year-old Donald Stipp of Portland, Indiana—a non-Amish man hired as their “Amish taxi” —underwent surgery and is still in serious condition.
A fifth passenger was also hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
The Amish men were on their way home from a construction job.
Jay County Sheriff Patrick Wells said it was “personally one of the worst crashes” he has ever seen.
The illegal migrant was arrested after the crash, and an ICE detainer was placed on him.
The truck he was driving had markings linked to a shadowy network of carriers suspected of being “chameleon” operations—which are companies that shut down and reopen under new names to dodge safety violations and poor ratings.
