The FBI has arrested a retired Air Force pilot, Major Gerald Eddie Brown Jr., 65, a former F-35 Lightning II instructor pilot with decades of experience in American combat for allegedly helping the Chinese Communist Party’s military by training their pilots.
According to the DOJ, Brown started working with China in August 2023 to “deliver combat aircraft training”
He traveled to China in December 2023, where he stayed until early February of this year.
He allegedly told Chinese military officials about U.S. Air Force operations and gave briefings about how the US Airforce Operates
An FBI source saying,
“This was a straight-up betrayal. He betrayed his country by training Chinese pilots to fight against those he swore to protect.”
Brown faces federal charges and is set for an initial court appearance in the Southern District of Indiana.
