Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene gave CNN anchor Jim Acosta a piece of her mind while he was chasing her down the sidewalk asking about a text message she allegedly sent to Mark Meadows about members of Congress talking about Martial Law following the January 6th protest, something the sender of the text saying ‘I don’t know about those things.’
Acosta continued to try to push his narrative prompting Taylor Greene to call him a liar and tell him that people don’t like him,
“Did you send a text in asking for the president to declare martial law?” asked Acosta. “Did you do that?”
“I don’t recall those being my text messages,”
Greene then demanded Acosta start being honest and report the whole story, the whole text message thread instead of just a select sentence,
“Why don’t you be honest? You’re just another one of those liars on television. And people hate it, they hate it. They can’t stand the liars on television.”
Greene then demanded Acosta bring up the whole text, which she noted was in an article and not the original text. After he pulled it up she pointed out the part where the sender of the text message said they did not know anything about martial law.
“Wait, excuse me, stop…. ‘I don’t know on those things.’ Is that what it says?”
“You’re lying. You’re a liar. You know why people don’t like you? Because you’re a liar. Why do you want to lie on television for your viewers?”
Greene continued,
“You’re accusing me of something and then when you read the actual words it tells another story. It tells the truth.”
Acosta continued to chase Greene down the sidewalk prompting Greene to ask Acosta to stop harassing her.
