Another ICE involved shooting has happened in Minneapolis – this time after an agent was ambushed and attacked by two people during an attempted arrest. According to a statement released by DHS Federal agents were conducting a targeted traffic stop in Minneapolis of an illegal migrant criminal from Venezuela who was released into the country by Biden.
The illegal migrant tried to get away by taking off in his car, but he crashed. That’s when he took off on foot. The agent chased him, and tried to arrest him but the migrant – according to DHS – violently assaulted the officer.
While the two were in a physical struggle on the ground, two people came out of an apartment complex and started attacking the officer with a snow shovel and a broom handle. While the officer was defending himself against the two men, the illegal migrant started hitting him with a shovel. The officer then pulled out his gun and shot a defensive shot – hitting the illegal in the leg. All three of the suspects ran back into the apartment and barricaded themselves inside. DHS is placing the blame for this latest attack on Governor Tim Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey who they say are actively advocating for violence and resistance against ICE agents.
DHS saying “Their hateful rhetoric and resistance against men and women who are simply trying to do their jobs must end. “
“Federal law enforcement officers are facing a 1,300% increase in assaults against them as they put their lives on the line to arrest criminals and lawbreakers.” The two suspects who ambushed the officer are in custody, while both the officer and the illegal migrant are in the hospital in stable condition.
