Barron Trump, the 19-year-old son of President Donald Trump, saved a woman’s life after he witnessed her being attacked by her ex-boyfriend in the UK
The woman told a London court that Barron’s quick thinking saved her life. According to the report 22-year-old Matvei Rumianstev became jealous of his girlfriend’s friendship with Barron and started assaulting her.
The woman managed to connect a FaceTime call to Barron during the alleged attack in an east London flat..
Barron, who was in the United States at the time, answered the call, saw and heard chaos: a ceiling view, screaming, a man’s head briefly appearing, and then the camera shifting to show the woman crying and being struck.
The call lasted about 10 to 15 seconds.
Barron immediately dialed the UK’s emergency number, 999, and told operators: “I just got a call from a girl I know. She’s getting beaten up.” He gave them the woman’s address then said “It’s really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up.”
He later explained to authorities that he chose to call police saying it was “the best thing I could do” to avoid making the situation worse.
Bodycam footage played in court showed. officers talking to the woman, who told them she was friends with Barron. When officers called Barron back, he confirmed he had reported the incident.
In her testimony, the woman said the call to Barron was “a sign from God.” She told jurors that he “helped save my life” and that the call came at a critical moment when she was “on my knees begging” during the assault.
Rumianstev denies the charges against him, which include assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH), two counts of rape, intentional strangulation, and perverting the course of justice.
