Rep. Ayanna Pressley’s husband went from being in prison for drug trafficking, to making $1 million per year, at the same time Pressley entered into congress
The Democrat Rep’s husband, Conan Harris, spent ten years behind bars.
Now he’s a consultant earning a 7-figure salary – his wealth jump happened within a relatively short period of time.
Harris was released from prison in 2011.
Between 2011 and 2019 – he made a typical salary working for the city.
In January 2019, three days before Pressley was sworn into her first term in the House, Harris quit his city job, and launched a management consulting firm.
The firm’s earnings immediately skyrocketed, going from next to nothing in 2019 to up to $1 million per year in 2024, according to Pressley’s congressional financial disclosures.
The business secured contracts with NGOs, businesses, and organizations that are involved in government-backed initiatives.
This has added to the couple’s exploding wealth that went from about -$12,500 in 2018, a year before her election, to about $8 million in 2024.
Pressley, who earns a congressional salary of $174,000, has faced accusations of corruption and hypocrisy.
She has pushed for rent cancellation, taxpayer-funded housing relief, and anti-landlord policies, all while profiting as a landlord herself.
