Austin Metcalf’s Dad To Make Sure Karmelo Anthony Does Not Get Parole “I’ll Show Up Every Time”

Austin Metcalf’s dad says he will show up when Karmelo Anthony is up for parole in 17 years to make sure he does not get out of prison saying,

“If I’m still alive, yes, I will be there in person. If not, I am going to make a video that can be played if I’m passed on”

Jeff Metcalf is the father of 17-year-old Austin who was stabbed in the heart and k*lled by Karmelo Anthony at a Frisco, Texas high school track meet.

Jeff has vowed to oppose Anthony’s parole at every hearing – in person if he is still alive – or through a pre-recorded video that can be played if he has died.

He said that Anthony should have received a life sentence and should never walk free again.

Anthony was convicted of First Degree M*rder after:

🔺️He took a 5 inch knife to a high school track meet,

🔺️Sat under the Memorial High school tent, refused to leave despite being asked 15 times, 🔺️Called the students under the tent p*ssies and b*tches,

🔺️Then stabbed Austin in the heart – with enough force to push through his sternum – when Austin tried to push him out of the tent.

🔺️Anthony then tried to run out of the stadium, a medical examiner had to yell at a coach to stop him from leaving, and the coach held him until he could be arrested.

🔺️After his arrest he told police, “I told him not to touch me” and “I’m not alleged. I did it”

The jury deliberated for 3 hours before coming to a guilty verdict.

They had the option to convict on manslaughter and chose not to after hearing eyewitness testimony from teammates and friends of both Austin and Anthony.

Multiple black student athletes took the stand and said Anthony was the aggressor, he provoked the situation and he committed m*rder.

The jury rejected his self-defense claim and any reduction in sentence for sudden passion.

The same jury sentenced him to 35 years in prison on the same day.

Anthony is eligible for parole after serving about half the term – 17 to 17.5 years,

He will be in his mid-30s – meaning young enough to find a wife, have kids, start a career and enjoy the rest of his life – Things Austin Metcalf will never get to do.

The Metcalfs, on the other hand, have been sentenced to life without their son and brother.

Jeff Metcalf’s impact statement opened with:

“We were robbed – don’t look down – of all of these things.”

“People think that grief is sadness but it’s not. It’s rage. Pure, unfiltered rage. It’s trauma. It’s replaying every detail until you feel physically sick.”

Metcalf slammed his hands on the witness stand with enough force that some in the courtroom reacted visibly.

“You failed yourself. You failed your parents. You failed society. You don’t belong in this community.”

“I said from day one, this was never about race, please don’t politicize it. But what did you choose to do…is exactly that.

“This case is about right and wrong. We’re all humans. We all bleed the same color.” The Anthony’s were not in the courtroom to support their son during sentencing or impact statements. #ChristinaAguayoNews
