Eman Abdelhadi, an assistant professor at the University of Chicago, is the half-sister of the socialist Senate nominee in Michigan.

She has a record of calling for a student intifada, and labeling her employer – University of Chicago – an “evil colonial landlord”
Abdelhadi was arrested on October 3, 2025, near the Broadview ICE Detention Center during an anti-ICE protest.
Prosecutors say she “knowingly and intentionally” spat at an Illinois State Police trooper on the protest line, refused an order to disperse, and resisted arrest.
She is being charged with:
🔸️Two counts of aggravated battery to a government employee, a Class 3 felony, and
🔸️Two misdemeanor counts of resisting/obstructing a peace officer.
Here’s a little background information:
🟧On the morning of October 7, 2023, Hamas trrorists mrdered over 1,200 people – including women, children and even babies – rped many, and kidnapped 200 others.
➡️Abdelhadi posted in Arabic “Morning freedom” next to a Palestinian flag celebrating the attack.
➡️She admitted to making the post claiming she was celebrating the barriers coming down and didn’t know what happened after that.
🟧In April 2024 she posted
➡️“Long Live the Student Intifada.”
🟧In October 2024 she wrote:
➡️“I hope nothing is ever the same. I hope none of these institutions recover from this.”
➡️”Let Palestine break this country wide open, let it either be reborn or crumble under the weight of its own contradictions.”
Conservatives view “intifada” language and calls to “break this country wide open” as endorsements of violent uprising, not abstract rhetoric.
🟧At the Socialism 2025 conference in Chicago in July 2025, Abdelhadi called the University of Chicago “evil” and “a colonial landlord.”
➡️She said she does not care about the institution, used profanity toward it, and explained she stays because it is one of the city’s largest employers and gives her access to thousands of people to organize:

Abdelhadi publicly called herself Mohamed El Sayed’s “proud little sister” when he announced his run.
🟧In 2022 Abdelhadi described her abortion as “One of the easiest and best decisions I ever made. I can’t imagine a world where I would be forced to be pregnant 8 months then give birth when I didn’t want to”

“That’s what we face now.
She is still employed by The University of Chicago. It receives hundreds of millions in federal grants and contracts each year – $400–500+ million range. Republicans say taxpayers should not have to pay for an institution that keeps a professor on payroll whose:
🔷️Facing felony charges for assaulting police,
🔷️Celebrated the October 7 attacks
🔷️Calls for an intifada-style takeover of America, and
🔷️Treats her university as a tool for radical organizing while denouncing it as colonial evil.
They see this as evidence of captured higher education that prioritizes ideology over basic standards of conduct and American interests. Critics say the trrorist doesn’t fall too far from the tree – pointing to El-Sayed.
Should she be fired for her actions? Should the university continue to get federal tax dollars when its faculty celebrate trrorist attacks, call for an uprising against government, and face charges for assaulting police? #christinaaguayonews
