“There’s an anarchy happening”
El Cajon Mayor Bill Wells said that the anti-ICE agitators that are sweeping the nation aren’t grassroots activists but professional operatives raking in six figure salaries—funded, he claims, by billionaire George Soros—to cause chaos and fight against federal authority.
Wells saying,
“These people are being paid between $80,000 and $120,000 a year to be protesters. When you’re a paid protester and you’re kind of a wingnut, those two things go hand in hand.”
He added that there’s an “anarchy happening.”
This confirmation comes as anti-ICE attacks on ICE agents are increasing. Far-left radicals have been assaulting officers, destroying property, and blocking deportations of violent illegal immigrant criminals.
Wells has been vocal against sanctuary policies, arguing they protect criminals over citizens,
“We must stand with law enforcement, not with criminals.”
Meanwhile Soros’ Open Society Foundations have poured millions into progressive causes, including migrant rights groups that critics say fuel anti-ICE violence.
Like the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) that has received major grants tied to Soros networks, with CHIRLA also getting $34 million from the federal government in 2023 while taking part in anti-ICE riots.
