#BreakingNews Maine Governor Janet Mills is being accused of a child abuse cover-up and cocaine trafficking in the latest Jeffery Epstein file dump
The Democratic Governor’s name has emerged in the latest batch of 3.5 million pages in the Jeffrey Epstein files that were released.
While Maine Democrats, including Mills herself, have pushed for the release of all Epstein’s operations, critics say it may prove to be a “self-inflicted wound” for the governor, whose vying for the Democratic nomination in the Senate race against Republican incumbent Susan Collins.
An anonymous tipster, later possibly identified through contextual clues as Lori Hand-rahan—a Ph.D. academic and anti-child trafficking advocate with deep ties to Maine politics—sent a detailed email on July 6, 2020, titled “Maxwell Waxman Malenko Maine.”
Handrahan, whose mom was Mills’ high school English teacher, accused the governor of being “instrumental” in protecting people who were engaging in child s*xual abuse and being “credibly named” in cocaine trafficking.
The email claims that Mills protected attorney Michael Waxman and her ex-husband Igor Malenko, who were accused of sexually assaulting their two-year-old daughter during a custody battle.
The whistleblower claims Mills, leveraged her influence as a former district attorney and attorney general, to help bury the case, allowing the abusers to walk free.
The email also pointed to multiple examples in Maine where p*dophiles in high places were protected or received lenient sentencing Including****
Former Maine State Police Chief Andrew Demers Jr., a 26-year veteran who served as chief from 1987 to 1993.
He was sentenced to four years in prison in 2014 after pleading guilty to unlawful sexual contact with a 4-year-old relative.
Demers, once praised as a “Legendary Trooper,” allegedly stopped investigations into influential Mainers accused of child sex abuse.
John Kenoyer, the former FBI bureau chief in Augusta, received a nine-month sentence in 1987 for assaulting a 12-year-old boy.
He was protected by figures like Judge Donald Alexander.
Former U.S. Senators George Mitchell (D-Maine) and Bill Cohen (R-Maine), both “credibly named” in the tip as child s*x abusers and traffickers.
Mitchell’s Epstein connections are well-documented, including appearances on Lolita Express flight logs and a 2019 deposition by victim Virginia Giuffre claiming Maxwell told her to have sex with him.
The drug accusations against Mills aren’t entirely new.
Rumors of her involvement in cocaine use and trafficking date back to the early 1990s.
When she was a County District Attorney, she faced a federal grand jury investigation.
A 1991 Sun-Journal report detailed multiple investigations into her alleged drug use and misuse of office, however no charges were filed.
Mills says these investigations are a “political witch hunt”
Her office has not responded to the latest child abuse allegations.
