Private spacecraft engineering company SpaceX has fired the woke employees who wrote an open letter to company executives blasting CEO and founder Elon Musk.
The letter claimed that Musk is negatively affecting SpaceX’s reputation and that employees “across the spectra of gender, ethnicity, seniority, and technical roles have collaborated on” writing the letter.
The employees posted the letter in a company messaging channel, circulated it online and asked other employees to sign the letter.
Just one day later the employees behind the letter were terminated.
Gwynne Shotwell, the company’s president and COO, wrote an email to employees saying,
“The letter, solicitations and general process made employees feel uncomfortable, intimidated and bullied, and/or angry because the letter pressured them to sign onto something that did not reflect their views. We have too much critical work to accomplish and no need for this kind of overreaching activism.”
