The trucker who was driving the wrong direction on a highway has been identified as a Somali migrant who works for a company registered in Minnesota to “Abdiwali Ahmed” – a company that is run out of an apartment and logged 81K miles last year.
The Somali migrant truck driver was traveling south on U.S. Highway 61 in Missouri in the Northbound lanes for miles before correcting course.
He was driving at around 50 mph, and forced multiple vehicles to swerve out of his way.
State Patrol eventually pulled the Somali migrant over after it used a crossover to switch directions.
During the stop, troopers gave Ibrahim Ali an English test, which he failed.
He couldn’t even identify standard road signs.
Even so, he was given a valid CDL issued by Minnesota.
Ali faces misdemeanor charges for driving the wrong way on a divided highway and operating a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, but he was not arrested, instead, a no-bond warrant was requested, allowing him to walk free.
