A woman in Texas is facing criminal charges after she allegedly threatened to kill the federal judge who is presiding over the case between President Donald Trump and the Department of Justice.
Judge Aileen Cannon recently granted Trump’s request and ordered a special master to review all records seized from Trump’s Florida home last month during an FBI raid that the former President has said was the ‘weaponization of the FBI.’
According to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday, Tiffani Gish of Houston allegedly left three threatening voicemails for Judge Cannon, using the name Evelyn Salt which is a fictional Russian agent in the movie “SALT.”
Transcribed excerpts of the calls included in the complaint indicate that Gish said she was a federal agent “in charge of nuclear” for the government, and “Trump’s hitman” who had a “license to kill.”
Gish was charged with one count of influencing a federal official by threat and one count of interstate communications with a threat to kidnap or injure.
