Authorities have arrested two men for allegedly beating up a hot dog vendor in Texas after an argument over prices.
Police have charged 21-year-old Jeremy Delgado and 19-year-old Bobby Wynn with second-degree felony aggravated assault charges over the incident that left the vendor with life threatening injuries.
According to an affidavit it happened in Austin’s entertainment district at about 2:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
A witness told police that Delgado got into an argument with the vendor about the $6 price of a hot dog and pushed him to the ground. That’s when, the witness said, Wynn “punched and kicked the vendor several times.”
When officers arrived on the scene the found the vendor covered in blood suffering from life-threatening injuries, including a lacerated liver.
The two suspects ran from the scene but were arrested and booked into the Travis County Jail after officers found them nearby with blood on their clothes.
According to Travis County Jail records, Delgado is being charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and has a $25,000 bond.
Wynn is being charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, unlawful carrying of a weapon and tampering with evidence. His bond has been set at a total of $40,000.
