Clancy used exercise bands to strangle 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan to death. Cora and Dawson were pronounced dead that night; Callan died three days later in the hospital.

Patrick Clancy testified that she called him from the hospital and spent the entire conversation making excuses for herself, saying she heard a man’s voice that told her if she did not act then she would lose her chance. She said nothing about Cora, Dawson, or Callan.
She did not apologize, she did not show remorse, she didn’t say the kids’ names, she didn’t even mention the kids.
Patrick testified that he never once heard Lindsay talk about hearing any voices. She first made those claims about 2 weeks after the m*rders.
In addition, the State’s psychiatrist who treated Lindsay testified that she did not suffer a psychotic break, she did not have post-partum, and she admitted that she was not taking the mixture of medications.

On January 24, 2023, Patrick came home after being sent out on errands by Lindsay. He found her in the yard and called 911.
On the recorded call, played for the jury, he can be heard asking where the children were. She told him ‘The basement’ without saying they were dead.
In the call you can hear him howling for minutes when he started finding the kids one by one – then screams of “She killed the kids” filled the courtroom.
When he found Dawson in his office, he cried ‘my little buddy, my buddy’
Officials suspect that Dawson ran to his father’s office for protection, not knowing he wasn’t there. That’s when his mother Lindsay, caught him and strangled him to de*th.
Lindsay has pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree m*rder.
Her defense admits she killed the children but argues she was not criminally responsible because severe postpartum mental illness, medication overload, and claimed auditory hallucinations.
Prosecutors say the killings were deliberate and premeditated, pointing to her mapping out how long Patrick would take on the errands and evidence of online searches including “can you treat a sociopath?” days before the killing.
