According to the Mobile Police Department, a pair of teenagers were shot after attempting to rob someone Friday afternoon.
Investigators say 18-year-old Marcus Kennedy and 19-year-old Jashawn Thomas went to a home on Marengo Drive to buy an item. Instead of making the purchase, they tried to rob the victim, who then pulled out a gun and shot both teens.
A short time later, the two teens showed up at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Police say that the detectives who went to the hospital to investigate determined that the teens were the same ones involved in the attempted robbery.
The teens were treated for non-life-threatening injuries then arrested and charged with first-degree robbery.
