Ilhan Omar’s Husband has scrubbed the names of Democrat heavyweights off of his business website after a rapid increase in wealth
Omar is being investigated for Voter, and Immigration fraud, and has been implicated in the $9 billion welfare fraud carried out by her fellow Somali migrants.
Meanwhile, the venture capital firm run by Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett, has quietly purged the names and biographies of those democrats.
The removal of the names fuels speculation about what Omar and Mynett might be hiding, especially because the firm’s growth went from less than $1,000 in assets in 2023 to between $5 million and $25 million just a year later.
Rose Lake Capital, the $25- $30 million firm co-founded by Mynett in 2022, scrubbed its website between September and October of this year.
The firm’s current website – which brags about having $60 billion in assets under management – does not feature any individual names at all— when previously it listed a roster of politically connected heavyweights.
Names scrubbed include:
Adam Ereli, a lobbyist and former U.S. Ambassador to Bahrain under President Obama.
Max Baucus, a former Democrat senator and U.S. Ambassador to China.
Alex Hoffman, a longtime associate of the Democratic National Committee’s finance chair.
William Derrough, ex-treasurer of the DNC.
Keith Mynett, former CEO of Amalgamated Bank—described by him as “the institutional bank of the Democratic Party.
The company, which lists a WeWork office in Washington, D.C., as its address, claims to be a global powerhouse in deal structuring, mergers, and capital raising.
However, its secretiveness about its operations raises questions about its political connections.
Meanwhile, his California-based winery saw its value skyrocket from $15,000 – $50,000 in 2023 to between $1 – $5 million in 2024—a 9,900% increase in one year’s time.
The move comes as the Minnesota Democrat faces increased scrutiny over her family’s own net worth that increased from negative assets to $30 million since she joined congress in 2019.****
The winery faced a 2023 lawsuit accusing Mynett of defrauding an investor out of $900,000 by misrepresenting the business’s legitimacy.
The case settled out of court.
The winery now appears defunct. Its phone is disconnected, website links are broken, and social media activity stopped in 2023.
Then there’s Omar’s worth. When she entered Congress in 2019, she reported a negative net worth, student loans and no significant assets.
Fast-forward to her 2024 financial disclosure, and she’s now worth between $6 million and $30 million.
Omar, an advocate for socialist policies like wealth redistribution and taxing the rich, said rumors about her being a millionaire are “ridiculous” and “categorically false” earlier this year.
However, her latest filings tell a different story, prompting people to point out her hypocrisy of racking up millions in wealth while pushing anti-capitalist agendas.
Paul Kamenar – from the National Legal and Policy Center said,
“She was basically broke when she came into office and now she’s worth perhaps up to $30 million…she needs to come clean on these assets.”
“While working families were being ripped off by a massive welfare scam, Omar’s campaign took money from convicted fraudsters, her husband launched a firm that suddenly ballooned in value, and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz looked the other way.”
Omar has direct connections to several convicted fraudsters in Minnesota including:
Salim Ahmed Said, co-owner of Safari Restaurant—site of Omar’s 2018 victory party.
He was convicted in August of stealing over $12 million by fabricating 3.9 million meals, then splurged on luxuries like a $2 million mansion.
Guhaad Hashi Said:
A worker on Omar’s 2018 and 2020 campaigns, who pleaded guilty in August to pocketing $3.2 million through a sham food site claiming 5,000 daily meals.
At least three convicted fraudsters donated $7,400 to Omar’s campaign. Omar said she gave the money back once the fraud was made public.
Omar’s 2020 MEALS Act, removed oversight on the very meal programs that were exploited by her Somali migrant associates.
