A high school music director in Pennsylvania has been charged with having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student.
An investigation was launched into 26-year-old Olivia Lois Ortz after her husband, Cody Ortz reported his wife’s illicit relationship with a student to the school district right after he found out about it – which was when he returned from a trip to Florida and found communication between his wife and a 17-year-old female student.

According to the criminal complaint Ortz then reported the relationship to Childline, which was when the police were alerted.
Investigators found more than 100 text and Spotify messages between the music teacher and her student. The pair even set up a code word in the case that “something bad” happened to either one of them.
The report said that the teen admitted to officers that she would go over to Ortiz’s house while her husband was gone, that she spent the night and had numerous sexual encounters with the music teacher.
The teen said she was in love with the teacher and police discovered that Ortiz continued to contact the teen after a warrant was served at her home.
Ortiz was suspended as soon as school officials found out about the allegation.
According to Wilmington Schools Superintendent Dr. Terence P. Meehan she later resigned.
Ortiz is being charged with unlawful contact with a minor for sexual offenses, criminal use of a communication facility, and two counts of intercourse/sexual contact with a school student.
She has a $150,000 bond.
She has posted bond and been released, according to the New Castle News.
